When BD Water approached me, their existing brand no longer reflected their forward-thinking approach or vibrant personality. They had recently branded Water Manager and loved its modern, streamlined identity. They wanted to align the BD Water brand with Water Manager, creating a cohesive system that unified the two while highlighting their distinct purposes.

After working closely with their team, the vision became clear: BD Water needed a brand that felt:

  • Fresh and professional
  • A little quirky and approachable
  • Distinct yet aligned with Water Manager

These elements became my starting point for creating a refreshed identity that would reflect their expertise and playful, outside-the-box personality.

The central challenge was ensuring that BD Water and Water Manager felt connected yet unique. To achieve this, I reused the Water Manager logo mark and adapted the visual style for BD Water as the parent brand. I introduced a refined colour palette featuring unexpected tones like pink and mint green to convey their vibrant, approachable side while keeping professional blues and greens for trust and sustainability.

I also developed a sub-brand logo for Water Manager, differentiating it through a purple accent while maintaining visual cohesion. This system allowed for clear brand differentiation while highlighting their connection.

The refreshed BD Water brand includes:

  • A modernised logo and cohesive colour palette
  • A set of icons representing their three core services: bores, irrigation, and licensing
  • A graphic system with shapes and patterns used across collateral and digital platforms
  • Vehicle decal designs for their fleet of utes and trucks

I also worked on designing their websites, ensuring BD Water and Water Manager have distinct yet connected digital presences. The result is a pair of websites that are easy to navigate, visually engaging, and reflective of their shared mission.
